The Drawmer DS201 Dual Noise Gate is a 1U rack-mountable, 2-channel noise gate/dynamics processor designed for use in studio recording, live sound, and similar environments.

Each channel features controls for Threshold, Attack, Hold, Decay, and Range, allowing for precise adjustment of gate opening/closing timing and the amount of attenuation based on the input signal. It is capable of handling extremely fast attack times, enabling the preservation of the initial transients of instruments like drums and percussion while suppressing unwanted noise and signal bleed.

The side-chain circuit includes variable high-pass and low-pass filters. These can be adjusted to respond to specific frequency ranges, helping to prevent false triggering caused by signal bleed between microphones—a common issue when recording drums. The "KEY LISTEN" function allows you to monitor the signal being used to trigger the gate, facilitating accurate setup.

The unit supports side-chain triggering via an external KEY INPUT, "STEREO LINK" for synchronized operation of both channels, and switching between GATE and DUCK modes. Equipped with balanced inputs and outputs, this dual noise gate is well-suited for integration into professional audio systems found in recording studios, PA setups, and live music venues.
