Add two additional footswitches — complete with status LEDs — to your compatible RJM Mastermind controller.

This compact Loop-Master Pedals external footswitch uses two normally-open momentary switches connected through a single TRS cable.

One switch operates the Tip connection and the other operates the Ring connection, giving your Mastermind two additional programmable external switches.

Best of all, the LEDs are powered and controlled directly by the compatible RJM Mastermind external switch connection.

NO separate power supply is required.

One TRS cable handles both switches AND the LED indication.

TWO ADDITIONAL MASTERMIND SWITCHES

The two external switches can be configured through your compatible RJM Mastermind just like additional controller buttons.

Depending on your Mastermind programming, they can be used for functions such as:

• Instant Access functions

• Preset functions

• Bank Up / Down

• Tap Tempo

• MIDI commands

• Effect On / Off

• Page-specific functions

• Other programmable Mastermind functions

The actual function of each switch is determined by your Mastermind programming.

HOW IT WORKS

One standard TRS cable connects the Loop-Master controller to the compatible RJM Mastermind external switch input.

SWITCH 1

• Normally-open momentary

• Tip to Sleeve

SWITCH 2

• Normally-open momentary

• Ring to Sleeve

Each switch also has its own LED indicator.

The LED circuit is designed specifically around RJM's external switch system.

LED INDICATORS

Unlike a typical passive auxiliary footswitch with separately powered LEDs, this controller does NOT require its own 9V power supply.

The compatible RJM Mastermind provides the necessary LED functionality through the external switch connection.

The LEDs can therefore provide visual status indication corresponding with the assigned external switch functions.

No additional DC power cable.

No battery.

Just one TRS cable between the footswitch and your Mastermind.

LED COLORS

Because of the way RJM's external switch circuit operates, low-forward-voltage LEDs are required.

Available LED colors for this model:

• Red

• Yellow

Blue, white and other higher-forward-voltage LEDs are not recommended for this application.

COMPATIBILITY

Designed for compatible RJM Mastermind products that support the RJM two-button external switch configuration.

Compatible applications include:

The connected Mastermind must provide a compatible external switch input.

RJM MASTERMIND GT

The Mastermind GT provides two external switch TRS jacks:

• Switch 1/2

• Switch 3/4

Each jack can accept a dual external switch.

One Loop-Master 2-button controller therefore provides two additional switches.

Two controllers can provide all four available external switches.

RJM MASTERMIND LT / PBC

Compatible Mastermind LT and PBC controllers provide an external switch input capable of accepting a dual external switch.

Connect this controller with a single TRS cable to add two additional programmable switches.

POWER

No external power required.

The LEDs are powered through the compatible RJM Mastermind external switch connection.

There is no 9V DC power jack on this controller.

IMPORTANT

This controller is specifically wired for compatible RJM Mastermind external switch inputs.

It uses normally-open momentary switching with:

• Switch 1 = Tip to Sleeve

• Switch 2 = Ring to Sleeve

The LED circuit is designed to operate from the RJM external switch connection and does not require a separate power supply.

Because of the available voltage from the RJM external switch circuit, low-forward-voltage LEDs should be used. Red, green and yellow are the recommended LED colors.

A standard 1/4" TRS cable is required.
