Now available, a late 1957 Fender Stratocaster with a body only professional refinish to 2-tone sunburst.

This is a fantastic 'player grade' example of a classic year for the Fender Stratocaster. It features a proper 'V' shaped neck pencil dated to 11-57, and a nicely refinished body with the contours still in good shape dated to 6-57 in the tremolo cavity.

Work to the guitar includes:

Professional re-fret with jumbo frets and a replacement nut performed by Holger Notzel. The neck finish and decal remain original with some older clear overspray (all removed except for the face of the headstock).

The pickguard has been swapped out (the original is included), several pickguard screws have been replaced.

The springs in the tremolo have been replaced, the originals are included.

Otherwise this guitar retains its original pickup covers, knobs, and most of its original hardware minus the forementioned pickguard screws. All 3x original north polarity black bottom pickups remain original and untouched (NO rewinds, replaced tape) and are well balanced. All of the wiring harness remains including the capacitor, 3-way swtich, and all 3x original Stackpole pots dating to the 23rd week of 1957.

Intact body refinish examples like this with all the important parts dont pop up often in Australia, a truly fantastic playing and sounding '57!
