Arturia has built a strong reputation around synthesizers, software instruments, and music-production hardware, and the MiniLab 3 is a great example of the company’s ability to put a tremendous amount of hands-on control at your fingertips. This is a 25-key USB MIDI controller with velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads, eight rotary encoders, four faders, pitch/modulation touch controls, an OLED display, arpeggiator, chord mode, and 5-pin MIDI connectivity. It’s equally at home controlling virtual instruments, drum software, DAWs, or compatible external MIDI hardware.

One important thing to understand about the MiniLab 3 is that it is a controller—it does not generate sounds by itself.
