Made in Japan in 2012, the ESP Eclipse Standard in Silverburst. This Japanese-made Eclipse features the familiar single-cut design with a mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The 24.75" scale and 22-fret configuration follow the traditional Eclipse specification.
The guitar is in excellent condition, with only a few small marks. It has been very well maintained by a professional luthier and is currently set up and tuned to B standard.
The original hardware has been replaced with black Gotoh hardware, including the tuners, bridge and tailpiece. This gives the guitar a different appearance from the original configuration while retaining the familiar Eclipse layout.
The pickups have also been upgraded to an EMG 57/66 set, with the EMG 57 in the bridge and EMG 66 in the neck. This combination is used on various ESP Eclipse models and provides a tight, articulate response particularly suited to high-gain and lower-tuned playing.
The combination of the Japanese-made ESP Eclipse platform, black Gotoh hardware and EMG 57/66 pickups makes this a distinctly modified example rather than a stock 2012 specification.
