Two independent Boss-style 2-button auxiliary footswitch controllers in one low-profile strip.

The Loop-Master Pedals Dual Boss-Style Aux Footswitch gives you FOUR normally-closed momentary footswitches divided into two completely independent 2-button sections.

Each section has its own TRS output, with one switch controlling Tip and the other controlling Ring.

Designed for equipment requiring Boss-style normally-closed momentary switching, this gives you the functionality of TWO dual-button aux controllers in one compact 8" strip.

Use both sections with one compatible device, use either section by itself, or connect each side to a completely different compatible device.

For example, you can control two functions on one Boss device with the first pair of switches while controlling two functions on another compatible Boss device with the second pair.

WHAT IT DOES

HOW EACH 2-BUTTON SECTION WORKS

Each side is an independent Boss-style normally-closed momentary TRS controller:

• Switch 1 = Tip to Sleeve

• Switch 2 = Ring to Sleeve

At rest, each switch connection is CLOSED.

Pressing the footswitch momentarily OPENS the corresponding connection.

Release the footswitch and the connection immediately returns to its normally-closed state.

The second pair operates exactly the same way through its own separate TRS output.

BOSS-STYLE NC MOMENTARY SWITCHING

This controller is designed around the normally-closed momentary switching used by many Boss external footswitch applications.

Think of it as TWO dual-button Boss-style aux controllers combined into one narrow enclosure.

Depending on the Boss device, external footswitches may be assignable to functions such as:

• Effect on/off

• Tap tempo

• Memory up/down

• Parameter control

• Loop functions

• Start/stop

• CTL functions

• Other assignable external controls

The exact functions are determined by the equipment you connect it to.

TWO DEVICES AT THE SAME TIME

One of the biggest advantages of this controller is that the two sections are completely independent.

TRS OUTPUT A controls Switches 1 and 2.

TRS OUTPUT B controls Switches 3 and 4.

That means you can connect the two outputs to TWO completely different compatible devices.

For example:

BOSS DEVICE #1

• Switch 1 = CTL 1

• Switch 2 = CTL 2

BOSS DEVICE #2

• Switch 3 = CTL 1

• Switch 4 = CTL 2

You now have four external controls for two different pieces of equipment from one compact pedalboard strip.

MIX AND MATCH

The two sides do not have to control identical equipment.

Possible setups include:

• Boss pedal + Boss pedal

• Boss multi-effects unit + Boss pedal

• Boss looper + Boss effects processor

• Boss device + another NC-compatible device

• Two compatible control inputs on one device

• One 2-button section now with the second available for future equipment

If the equipment uses the required normally-closed Tip/Ring momentary switching, each side operates completely independently of the other.

WHY USE THIS INSTEAD OF TWO SEPARATE FOOTSWITCHES?

Pedalboard space.

Instead of mounting two separate dual-button auxiliary footswitches, you get four comfortably spaced switches in one narrow 8" enclosure.

The strip format works especially well along the front or rear edge of a pedalboard and keeps all four external controls together.

It also means:

• One enclosure instead of two

• Four switches in a straight line

• Only 1.25" of pedalboard depth

• Two independent TRS outputs

• Easy access to four external functions

IMPORTANT – NORMALLY CLOSED VERSION

This is the NORMALLY CLOSED (NC) version.

It is NOT our normally-open (NO) aux controller.

Normally Closed (NC):

• Connection is closed at rest

• Pressing the switch opens the connection

• Releasing the switch closes the connection again

Normally Open (NO):

• Connection is open at rest

• Pressing the switch closes the connection

Always verify the external footswitch requirements of your specific equipment before connecting.

A TRS footswitch, CTL, control or expression jack does not automatically mean that it uses Boss-style normally-closed switching.

CABLES

Each 2-button section connects to compatible equipment using a standard TRS cable.

To use both sections simultaneously, two standard TRS cables are required — one for each pair of switches.

TRS cables are not included.

COMPATIBILITY NOTE

Designed for Boss-style normally-closed momentary external control applications, including applications where FS-5U, FS-6 or FS-7 style momentary control is appropriate.

Because Boss products can have different external control requirements and assignments, always check the manual for your specific device before ordering.
