For sale is a phenomenal example of a golden-era Fender in Excellent Condition.... a 1966 Fender Vibrolux Reverb BlackFace amp.
If you're searching for that iconic, articulate, and three-dimensional clean tone that defined a generation of music, this is it. This amp delivers the legendary sparkle (AA864 circuit) and warmth with incredible headroom, making it one of the ultimate pedal platforms. At 35 watts, it's the perfect volume for both stage and studio, capable of staying clean at loud volumes or breaking into rich, musical overdrive when pushed.
Condition: The Fender Vibrolux Reverb is in excellent vintage working condition. Faceplate and Backplate is in excellent condition. Functionally, the amp works well — controls are responsive, and it sounds absolutely fantastic.
Professional and Thoughtful Service: This Vibrolux Reverb has been professionally serviced ( service back in 2026) with a focus on safety and reliability while preserving as much of the original circuit and tone as possible. The goal was to make it gig-ready for years to come, without changing parts unnecessarily.
The following essential service and modified has been completed:
- Power Supply and Output Transformers: They are all Antique Replacements. Note:
- 6L6GC's Grid and Screen Resistors: Replaced with 1% metal oxide resistors.
- Power Supply Filter Caps and Resistors: All have been changed. New F&T / Mersen filter capacitors installed.
- Grounded for Safety: The original two-prong power cord has been replaced with a modern, heavy-duty three-prong grounded cord for safe operation.
- Speakers: WF10120 8ohm 60watts guitar speakers for a total - of 120watts.
- Tubes: 5881's (if you want 6L6GC's ... they an additional cost, pleas DM me), solid state GZ34, various 12AX7's and 12AT7's.
- Cabinet: 1979 Fender Vibrolux Reverb cabinet. 1979 "Fender" logo and Chassis Straps.
- Other Replaced parts: Many Resistors, Caps ... were replace because they were out of spec. The top panel has been cut down.
- Basic Maintance: Clean and Deoxit all Pots. 'Burnished' all Jacks (1/4" and 1/8"). Removed the 'Death Cap'' from Power Section.
- Accessories: None
