Gretsch Broadcaster X4175 "Max Roach" Progressive Jazz 14" x 4" snare drum Champagne Sparkle early 1960's

6-ply shell, original champagne sparkle finish, Round badge, "stick chopper" from 1960's

All original except the heads. Micro-Sensitive throw-off, 5381 butt assembly (previously used for the original 1950's Max Roach snare drum, using the same center post for the original lugs)

Some pitting is present on lugs and hoops which do not affect the sound

Very rare and sought after beautiful instrument

All original parts, original Gretsch Responso snare wire, new Aquarian Modern Vintage batter head and Remo Ambassador resonant side

The snare has been stripped and duly cleaned.
