Introducing the 5" Prototype Cast by GM Designs—a rough, round piece of B20 bronze taken directly from the foundry stage and turned into a unique percussion accent.
Often called a bronze cake, it’s made from the same B20 alloy used in professional cymbals. After casting and cooling, the center is drilled for mounting, while the rest is left largely untouched to preserve its raw texture and character.
This piece is an early prototype for a future GM Designs series, offering a dense metallic attack, strong projection, and unusual overtones. No two are exactly alike, making each one a unique glimpse into what’s coming next. Explore more at gmdcymbals.com
