This 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a ’60s neck profile in Latte Creme is one of those guitars that looks completely different depending on the light. The finish has this warm cream-to-gold appearance with subtle figuring underneath, and when light catches the top it almost glows. It is a really unusual color for a Les Paul from this era and not one I come across often.

At 9.92 lbs on my scale, it has the substantial feel I expect from an early-2000s Standard. The mahogany body and maple top give it that familiar Les Paul response, while the slimmer ’60s neck keeps it from feeling bulky in the hands.

This one plays extremely well. The frets are excellent, the fretboard is clean, intonation is spot on, and the current setup passed inspection exactly as it came in. The action sits at a comfortable medium height and the neck feels quick without being overly thin.

The pickups have a really nice contrast between positions. The neck is warm, full and heavy through the mids and low end, while the bridge gets noticeably cleaner and brighter with plenty of treble bite. Together they give the guitar a lot of range without losing that thick Les Paul character.

The electronics passed my complete inspection with no issues.

What stood out to me:

• Rare Latte Creme finish

• Subtle flame visible through the top

• Finish really comes alive under direct light

• ’60s neck profile

• 9.92 lbs on my scale

• Excellent fret condition

• Comfortable medium action

• Spot-on intonation

• Warm, full neck pickup sound

• Bright, articulate bridge pickup sound

• Complete electronics inspection passed

• Original Gibson hardshell case

• Includes the inspection sheet

Condition is Excellent, especially considering this guitar is now more than 20 years old. The body, neck and backside all came through inspection very clean.

There are some light scratches on the back and around the headstock, but they are surface-level finish wear rather than anything structural. There are no major condition issues that take away from how well-kept this guitar is overall.

The top is easily my favorite part. Latte Creme already gives the guitar a different personality than the usual bursts, and the figuring underneath adds just enough movement without turning it into an overly flashy Les Paul.

It includes the original Gibson hardshell case and inspection sheet.
