Now available on consignment, 2022 Gibson Murphy Lab R7 Les Paul Standard
This is a fine example of a recent Murphy Lab “Ultra Heavy Aged” 57 style Les Paul standard, replete with a one piece Mahogany back and neck, Maple top, two “Custombuckers” and the regular Les Paul control layout.
The Murphy Lab prides themselves on their finishes, and this guitar is no exception to that quality, featuring very well executed crazing all over the top, of which the colour is well chosen, and sympathetic and finely articulated wear on the back, with plenty of buckle rash. This example looks very good, and is a great example of accurately articulated wear.
There have been no modifications to this guitar, and it presents as original as when it left the factory. Its original 50’s style thin frets feel great, and it has a very nicely shaped neck, chunky, but easy to play and solid.
All in all this is a very solid guitar, sounding as bright and twangy, and deep and rich as a good Les Paul should.
Freshly set up with 10-46 and comes with its OHSC and COA.
