This is a late-production Logan String Melody II (Serial Number 11901) manufactured in Italy circa 1981–1982. This unit features native "Logan-only" branding on both the front metal faceplate and the rear chassis badge, rather than the more common Hohner-branded export labels. The internal power section has been converted to native US voltage at the transformer and upgraded with a hardwired grounded IEC cable, eliminating the need for an external step-down transformer and reducing the vintage AC noise floor for modern studio recording. The front panel faders glide smoothly, the keys trigger consistently, and the analog BBD ensemble circuitry delivers its characteristic symphonic string wash.
