Now available on consignment, a 1966 Gibson SG Special refinished in Pelham Blue.
This well played example dates to later in 1966, having the slimmer 1&9/16" nut width, and the larger 'batwing' style pickguard. As you can see the guitar has been professionally refinished in Pelham Blue by Joe Riggio a few years back, its an incredible job with realistic weather checking and yellowing of the clearcoat. Luckily the bevelling is in good shape as well, and there are NO previous neck or heel repairs.
Work to the guitar includes:
The bridge is a modern compensated Epiphone replacement.
The bridge tone pot is a modern replacement.
Replacement volume/tone knobs.
Otherwise the guitar retains most of its original parts including both of its original soapbar p90s, batwing guard, double line tuners, and the wiring harness remains original except the forementioned pot.
A great way to get into a 60s Gibson SG! Includes a modern hardcase.
