Broughton Audio Messenger V2 high-fidelity bass preamp, EQ, boost and transformer-balanced DI. This is an unusually comprehensive pedalboard front end, combining a low-noise gain stage with four-band EQ, sweepable low and high mids, variable high-pass and low-pass filters, and a switchable clean boost.

Separate line-output and DI-level controls make it easy to feed an amplifier and mixing console simultaneously. The transformer-coupled XLR output includes ground lift, while the buffered tuner output avoids loading the instrument signal. The V2 revision also adds input phase control, a mute function and soft-touch relay switching.

Broughton pedals are handmade in Canada and can be difficult to source in Australia without international freight and waiting times.

This example is in mint cosmetic condition. Fully tested and working correctly, with no operational faults, abnormal noise, scratchy controls or intermittent connections.

The original box is included. No power supply or other accessories are included. It requires a regulated centre-negative 9–18V DC supply rated for at least 250mA.
