Fender Jazzmaster 1964-1972 - Firemist Gold refin w/ Fender HSC

Selling my 1964-72 Fender Jazzmaster. Vintage partscaster (partsmaster). VG+ condition.

4 JUN 64 A neck. RARE factory custom order, very unusual on a Jazzmaster! It measures 1-1/2" (38,1mm) at the nut, plays fast but is not too thin. Rio rosewood fretboard with clay dots. Refret and new bone nut (original nut and frets included). Genuine Kluson double line tuners, marked “PATENT NO D-164900” on the bottom side, correct for guitars mid-'64 to '67.

Pickguard with original shield, plastics and wiring harness dated to 1964. All components intact from the factory, the pots (one CTS and one Stackpole) date 10th and 8th week of '64. 1964 black bobbin neck pickup (7.32kΩ) and 1965 gray bobbin bridge pickup (8.53kΩ) both with original windings. New foam pads underneath.

1969 body (codes and stamps in the neck pocket match with other Fender guitars and basses from that specific year) with original hardware except repro bridge and new vibrato arm. Later 1972 neck plate.

Pro refin in thin skin nitro Firemist Gold matching headstock over white base coat courtesy of Pirrera Guitars, Milano IT. Tasteful light relic and weather checking. Chef's kiss.

Set-up with 10-52s, low action and optimal neck relief. Featherweight at 7lbs 7.4oz (3.382kg) and plays like a dream with none of the usual bridge issues.

Originally purchased from Southside Guitars, Brooklyn and featured on Premier Guitar's Vintage Vault as "The Best of All Eras: The One-of-a-Kind Partscaster Jazzmaster".

It had a thick poly refin, stripped and then properly redone in nitro. The aftermarket parts have been disassembled and sold to make way for the vintage correct parts. I only kept the gold guard.

Not cheap, i understand, but surely not in the 20k range of an all original Firemist Gold. Honestly? F**k the Custom Shop, get this one instead.
