Martin / 1956-1961 Style-1

A rare "Martin Style-1," built during what's considered the golden age of vintage Martin ukuleles, from the late 1950s into the early 1960s.

Positioned as the step-up model above the Style-0, the Style-1 features beautiful binding around the body top that gives it a tighter, more defined outline - a simple yet refined instrument that still shows off the craftsmanship of its era. Its carefully selected, high-quality solid mahogany body brings exceptional vintage tone back to life today.

Its defining characteristics are the dry, crisp tone unique to mahogany that has aged and dried beautifully over the decades, combined with the remarkably deep, mellow resonance with all the rough edges worn smooth that only a vintage instrument can offer.
