Quint Mandolin is crafted by Master Luthier Qin Ji Duo from China, who learned instrument making at several manufacturers, then worked at North Field Mandolin from its inception before becoming independent. This is the "F-5S," a simplified version with more affordable ornamentation. It features an Italian spruce top, Swiss tiger maple back, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Goto tuners, ivoroid binding, and a matte lacquer finish. The headstock is adorned with a beautiful abalone inlay. The hand-carved arched top and back, medium-sized frets, and original floating pickguard demonstrate high craftsmanship and refined taste. The soft V-shaped neck, radius fingerboard, and scooped fingerboard end enhance playability, making it a very comfortable instrument to play.
