Buffet Crampon 4052 Wood Oboe W/ 3rd Octave Key! Serviced, Formerly 4062 Prodige!

One of several intermediate and professional oboes we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon BC4052-2-0 intermediate wood oboe. Unlike many of the 4052's you may be looking at, this is the one with the grenadilla body but the crack-resistant Luracast-lined upper bore, and even the third octave key which is not present on many of the older ones you may be looking at. It is in exceptional condition:  no cracks, chips, or repairs, plating about 99.9% with little if any wear, and appears to have been very recently overhauled as all the pads are in excellent condition with very little wear at all. Just through our shop where it was regulated and brought up into exceptional playing condition.  Will be ready to play right out of the case if you're picking it up. May need very minor adjustments if you're having it shipped, depending on how many bumps the delivery guy hits. Includes many keys not found on beginner and many intermediate oboes:  low Bb, low Bb vent, F-resonance key, C# trill, other trills, articulated C#, the third octave key (!) and the all-important left F.  Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a silk swab, thumb guard and new ProTec microfiber cloth. All in the slim pochette case which is perfect for backpacks.  This had a couple minor design tweaks, was renamed and remarketed recently as the 4062 Prodige and is currently selling for a whopping $5,223 at the "discount" M&A site.  So, save more than $2,500, and snatch up the nicest you'll find online just in time for the new school year!
