This is a ‘1988’ Unique Custom Mesa Boogie Studio Caliber + .22 Combo Amplifier which has the Master Volume control for the Lead Channel.

You will not find another one in ‘Red Tolex’ with the ‘Basket Weave’ Wheat Coloured Speaker Grill! or In this excellent condition.

This is a brilliant gigging or studio 2 channel amp with spring reverb, effects loop, ladjustable level DI out and weighing only 17kg!

It Has locking ball bearing casters for extra ease of positioning on stage or in studio, these will be removed, bubble wrapped, and stored inside the amp cabinet for transit. It also has thick rubber bumper feet if you want to operate it without the casters

Comes with custom made TLC padded cover and original Channel Foot-switch and cable included.

This amp originally came as a 110V AC direct import from the USA. Its mains transformer has been replaced for a ‘Classic Tone’ Magnetics Components made in USA with export selectable Primary AC windings of 2x 120V which are Currently wired in series for 240V AC.

Can be re-wired for 120V on buyers request.

The amp has been professionally serviced. HV Electrolytical Capacitors have been replaced with Quality F&T 500V capacitors and re-valved with JJ Tesla EL84 output tubes and Tung Sol and JJ Tesla pre-amp tubes.

Pots and valve sockets have been flushed, cleaned and De-Oxed.

Comes with the original robust 12” 8ohm Vintage ‘Black Shadow’ speaker.

An External HT fuse has been installed, which protects the output transformer, as well as an external adjustable output tube bias pot with DC monitoring sockets for valve matching Cool, Warm to Hot variable biasing and accurate crossover distortion fine tuning.

This is a bonus added feature as these amps used to run TOO HOT, with a poor cathode fixed bias circuit design, and required High HT voltage rated tubes, and even then they would go through the output valves requiring replacement too often.

It has a nice sonic tonal blend of Sharp and Clean Rhythm channel to rich even harmonic overtones in the overdrive Lead channel.

It compliments well front end as well as effects loop pedal insertions.
