Urei 1178 Stereo Peak Limiter 1970s - Silverface
Up for sale is my classic UREI 1178 Dual Peak Limiter in great vintage condition.
If you’re looking at this, you already know what it is—the legendary stereo version of the 1176. It sounds absolutely massive on drum busses, room mics, stereo guitars, and vocals. Nothing quite punches or glues a mix like a real silverface 1178.
Condition & Operation:
- Fully operational with that iconic, aggressive vintage FET character.
- Both channels, meters, and controls work as they should.
- Cosmetically in very clean shape for its age with only minor rack wear (please check the photos).
- Kept in a smoke-free studio environment.
- Priced slightly higher than average because it’s in exceptionally clean condition and fully operational without any issues.
Shipping: Will be packed with extreme care (plenty of bubble wrap and a heavy-duty box) and shipped promptly from Japan via FedEx/DHL with tracking and insurance.
