This vintage Neumann U87 is in very nice shape. SN 19658. This mic was manufactured in 1975. This is part of the first generation of U87s, with the battery compartment. Electronics and capsule are all original. No mods. This mic sounds and works great. It has no issues. It works well in all polar patterns. High pass filter and pad also work well. Capsule was never reskinned.
The body has some scratches and digs, but that’s pretty normal for the age of the microphone. The grill is in good condition with some small imperfections. Switches are in great shape.
This is a reliable and rich sounding microphone that will last many years to come.
Mic comes with its original leather case and SG367 mount. Its ready to plug and play!
