The Alesis AcoustiFX Multi-Effect Pedal packs a plethora of punchy presets and more into a compact, go-anywhere pedal that's targeted straight at acoustic guitarists, although any acoustic instrument can benefit from the high-quality 24-bit effects included in this "little green monster." Six different emulations help your guitar sound like classic models played for decades.

This being a multi-effect for acoustics, there's a choice of reverbs and delays, chorus and flanger, phaser and EQ. But there's also a 12-string emulation, a slow attack effect, and a step filter. This pedal is ready for almost any situation you'll encounter, including a Hum Canceller for removing line noise. Add the optional expression pedal, and your effect options expand even more.

By plugging in any 1/4"-connected expression pedal, you can vary the effects while you play, or use the pedal wah effect.

40 Editable Presets You can't expect to fiddle with controls in the middle of a show, so the 40 preset effect/model combinations can be rewritten with your own favorite configurations. They can also be restored to the "factory" state. The two large, foot-friendly pedals switch settings instantly (unless you set the unit to Preview mode, which lets you put a new preset "on deck" and bring it in when needed).

Built-In Tuner The integrated tuner can be accessed by pressing both pedals at once, making tuning up between numbers a breeze.

Expression Pedal Input The optional expression pedal brings real-time control to the AcoustiFX. Vary the amount of reverb or number of delay repeats, the depth of the chorus effect, or the intensity of the rotary speaker effect while you play, for exponential increases in creative flexibility.
