NOTICE:It seems like there are no takers. I will end this listing this month.

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT FRETS - PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING 🚨

As clearly shown in the macro photos, there are deep divots and significant wear on the lower frets (especially under the plain strings).

Due to this condition, please assume that fret leveling or a complete refret WILL be necessary after you receive it for ideal playability. I am disclosing this clearly to prevent any trouble. Please purchase only if you agree to have this fret maintenance done on your end. The guitar is priced reflecting this condition.

【Overview】

Up for sale is a beautiful Fender Japan ST54 Stratocaster from the highly sought-after Fujigen golden era (J-Serial: 1989-1990).

I originally bought this used in Japan, where it was sold as the mid-to-high grade ST54-70. The neck pocket is stamped "ST-54", but to ensure complete transparency and verify its true grade, I checked the internal electronics.

As you can see in the detailed internal photos, this guitar features factory-installed Fender USA Vintage Pickups with correct cloth wiring, fiber bobbins, and eyelets. Based on these premium original specifications, this firmly authenticates it as the ST54-70 model, standing above the standard domestic models.

【Specifications】

Model: Fender Japan ST54-70

Year: 1989-1990 (J-Serial)

Manufacture: Made in Japan (Fujigen)

Pickups: Original Fender USA Vintage Pickups (Cloth wire / Fiber bobbins)

Color: 2-Tone Sunburst

【Condition】

Frets: Significant wear and divots on lower frets. (See the IMPORTANT NOTICE above and check the macro photos).

Body Damage: Please note there is a visible ding/dent on the body that has caused a paint crack. Please be sure to check the close-up photo provided to see the exact condition.

Cosmetics: Aside from the damage mentioned above, please expect some normal minor scratches, hardware rust, and play wear appropriate for a vintage instrument over 30 years old. The neck shows a very nice grain.

Originality: The electronics and pickups are original.

【To the Buyer】

I have provided many detailed photos, including macro shots of the frets, the body damage, the neck pocket stamp, and the pickup internals. Please check ALL photos carefully to judge the condition for yourself.

Because this is a vintage instrument requiring potential fret work, it is sold "AS-IS".

If you are looking for an authentic Fujigen-era Stratocaster with the true USA pickup tone and don't mind doing a little maintenance, this is a fantastic piece for your collection.

Feel free to ask any questions before purchasing. Thank you for looking!

【Missing Parts】

Please note that the tremolo arm and the back panel (tremolo spring cover) are NOT included.
