**Before I go further in the description, I need to get this out there:**
After 21 years in the online sales business, this is what lāve learned:
Not every person who adds an item to their watchlist or shopping cart is genuinely interested in making a purchase.
Some people are just testing me just to see if Iāll come down on the price significantly several weeks later. Some are just looking for some attention because theyāre bored. Some add these items to their watchlist or shopping cart because itās a hobby or because they are just curious if itāll sell. And others? They canāt even afford these units, but waste time anyways.
This is my honest-to-goodness observation, based on the pattern of things.
There is a fine line between making an informed decision, doing your due diligence or waiting on a paycheck and just adding it to your watchlist or shopping cart with no actual intention of making a purchase and other reasons mentioned above and I feel as though that line has been crossed repeatedly.
I really am a nice person to deal with and I go to the ends of the Earth to assure every customer they are dealing with an honest and reputable seller. However, I do have boundaries when it comes to people who play games and I do enforce them by removing and reposting listings after a while if I feel there is no genuine interest in them.
As Iāve stated before, I really appreciate the admiration of my listings, but they are intended for serious buyers who are ready to move forward with making a purchase.
These units are priced accordingly based on quality how much time and effort was put into testing, restoring, making necessary adjustments, cosmetics, and how much I sold them for in the past, and ensuring that it will arrive in working condition when the new buyer receives it.
If you want to negotiate on the price, that is what the āMake an Offerā button is forāUSE IT! I will either accept, decline or counter your offer accordingly!
If this is outside your budget or you donāt feel this is the right one for you, I do ask that you respectfully look into other alternatives more suited to your price range or what you might be looking for. There are plenty of them out there!
Direct offers may be sent or limited time discounts (around 10-15% off) may be posted if after a certain period of time there are a lot of watchers on this unit. The purpose is to engage with anyone who is ready to move forward with making a purchase. If there is no response to the offers or discounts after 24-48 hours or they are declined, that will be interpreted as a sign of no genuine interest and the listing will be removed.
I will negotiate within reason, but at the same time I will not āgive this unit awayā for cheap to make entitled and insecure people feel better.
The shipping also includes packing and Reverb safe shipping insurance which protect myself, and the buyer in case something happens to the item in transit. A Pre Shipment video tutorial as well as pictures of the packing job will be sent to the buyer. The buyer agrees to accept This is proof that the deck left here both working and packed properly.
If a buyer suspects a problem with their unit, THEY MUST be willing to take it to a local repair shop or have it sent to one for repairs. Reverb safe shipping will cover the cost of the repairs.
Due to the vintage nature of decades-old electronics, I CANNOT offer any kind of warranty. I do, however, give a 100% guarantee that it will arrive working as described in the listing. So, If there is any doubt whatsoever about my honesty and integrity, please visit my Reverb profile. you will see I have plenty of happy customers!
All decks are cleaned, adjusted, serviced, and rigorously tested before they are listed to ensure they work properly. I have attempted to describe, as accurately as possible the description of every tape deck, including the cosmetic issues and any other issues that I may find and take plenty of clear pictures so you see exactly what you get.
