This instrument is 30 years old, purchased from the original Rikhi Ram store in Connaught Place, New Delhi and made by the late Bishandas Sharma-ji, maker of many great iconic artists instruments including Pandit Ravi Shankar, George Harrison, and all of the great classical artists of India.

This is a Vilayat Khan professional model.

The instrument has been unplayed and stored in the case for 30 years and has recently been refurbished and brought back to life.

Comes with the original hard case.

This is a rare opportunity to own an instrument made by a legendary instrument maker.

The instrument is as new, no cosmetic issues. Frets are polished and immaculate. Fully refurbished and it may be the jawari (bridge) needs adjusted to suit your personal preferences and some time to play the instrument for it to come alive again, fully resonate and open up.

If the buyer wishes it to be couriered I will pack it very securely, loosen the strings so there’s no tension, add bubble wrap inside the box and once secure, wrap the case in several layers of bubble wrap and then add fragile tape allover it. This will ensure it does not get damaged in transit.
