KAY VANGUARD MODEL 704 AMPLIFIER
CIRCA 1963
WORKS GREAT!
CLEAN VOLUME, TONE AND VIBRATO
SOLID STATE/TRANSISTOR
Grab it before its gone forever!
If you're in the market for a classic amp
with SOME MOJO, this is it! Why pay the same price OR MORE for a new,
lesser quality, terribly amplifier? Get something with a little history
behind it!
This circa 1963 Kay Model 704 Amplifier w/Vibrato is still in good shape for a 50+ year old!
Electronics have been tested and work. No issues with scratchy pots, noises, etc.
I don't know if the 8" speaker is original, but it may be. It sounds great. This amp has a strong powerful sound.
Original power cord is in very good shape with no cuts or dry rot.
This amp
has a fat chunky vibrato function. Pulsating and not as fast as some
tremolo speeds, but it sounds great. Perfect for that old Keith Richards
"Gimme Shelter" sound. There is a footswitch control/jack, but I
haven't been able to test it since I don't have a footswitch. But,
everything works just fine manually with the knobs,
Many sellers don't even mention this stuff, but I like to. Please see
all of the pictures. I've done my best to capture all the little details
and describe this amp as accurately as possible.
Bottom line: If you're looking for a cool vintage amp, without breaking
the bank, this one's for you. This amp is in truly great condition for
its age. They're getting harder to find each year. Grab it before
somebody else does!
This classic amp will make a fine addition to any collection.
Amp will be shipped securely to ensure a safe delivery to your front door.
Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions prior to purchase. I'll be happy to answer them all!
