About This Listing

Offering in this listing the rare find of an all original vintage 70s left handed Jetglo finished Rickenbacker 4001 bass.

It comes in its correct original hardshell case for left handed specimen along with the leather strap show.

The serial number dates this unit to have been completed in May of 1974 which goes along with the pot date codes of all of the original pots (137-7414) decoding them to the 14th week in April of 1974.

The bass is in remarkable condition throughout for being a 50 year old instrument! Of course it does have signs of use, but these are hard to detect on first glance unless you put the bass into the right light to inspect them in the light's surface reflection. We tried to show the most noticeable blemishes in the numerous pictures posted.

As on most all Rickenbackers this one as well does no longer have the useless bridge pickup cover that was taken off many moons ago and is therefore no longer with the instrument.

Original case sports many stickers from the previous owner clearly dating it, even a sticker from the Korean Airlines is present. The case is generally in good condition safe corner scuffs and tears, all hinges and clasps still work well.

A rare find indeed and excellent opportunity for all of you left handed players out there to obtain a coveted vintage instrument for your arsenal of choice axes.
