About This Listing

1973-74 Ventura ES-335 Style semi hollow electric guitar, original condition. Made in Japan by Matsumoku.

This is a very cool vintage guitar. Hard to believe the condition for the age. Most of the gold plating is still gold. The trapeze tailpiece is faded a little, but the rest is very nice.

The flaming and the front and back of the guitar is amazing. When you look through the f-holes you can see the flaming on the inside of the back of the body. Very cool!!

All original electronics, including the coveted mid 1970’s Maxon pickups. I sold a set like this out of a Univox a few years ago for $400.

The frets have very little wear and have been cleaned and polished. The fretboard has been treated with lemon oil.

The strings have just been replaced with new D’Addario XL .09-.42‘s.
There are 2 cracks on the rea of the body. One is about 2” long and the other about 1”. They are adjacent to the rear inspection cover. SEE PICS.

The tuners are original and a few are a little hard to turn. I believe after some use that they will free up.

Comes with original chipboard case.

The guitar will be professionally packaged and shipped with insurance.

It will need to be tuned and possibly set up to your playing preferences upon receiving. No refunds are given for setup work.
