1982 Peavey Horizon II - Blade pickups - Original hard shell case - Collectors Item. A unique instrument in every aspect. There are multiple videos on Youtube detailing the qualities of the American Peavey guitars. The neck humbucker will act like both a single coil and a humbucker by adjusting the tone knob. Turn the tone nob down to seven and you have a humbucker. Crank the tone up to 10 and you have a single coil. The bridge humbucker will perform the same as the neck. The center single coil is switched "on-off-out of phase". What this allows you to do is get a classic Les Paul, Strat, Tele tones from one instrument. As an added bonus the out of phase tones are great for high gain amps. These are not your mothers pickups either. These are the potted blade pickups that are impossible to find and are hot, clear, and lots of bass. Turn the volume down and you get a beautiful strat chime, all the way up on the volume and very clean tone that will growl when you attack the strings. A couple of nicks and some neck wear on the cowboy chord area. Frets are medium sized with a small amount of wear. The neck feel is fantastic with just the right spacing for my medium sized hand and narrow enough to easily wrap my thumb around and play the low E- string. No rough frets at the side. Condition is an 8 out of 10. The upper switch control the humbuckers - neck - both - bridge. This switch has been replaced and does not have the original switch washer. The lower switch is all original.
