Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...
A Well Played but awesome 1971 Yamaha FG 300...the Cadillac of
the Nippon Gakki Yamahas and this one is terrific.... I grab these whenever I
have a chance and have sold at least a dozen of these over my Selling years. Everyone of my
customers have been thrilled with theirs.... This one sounds, looks and plays great.
It has been played and it looks it...Check out the Pick where around the bridge...that's a lot of strumming...there are finger divots in the cowboy chord area and I had Jeff the Tech replace the top 6 frets. They needed it and now she is ready to work for another 50 years!
These were made in Japan and of course were made to compete with the Gibson
Hummingbirds...check out the original Pickguard. These are always either
missing, broken or raised up at the edges..None of those maladies on this
one..the Pickguard graphics are nice and bright and it looks great ..see pics.....
These are really high quality guitars. It has a Spruce Top, Rosewood
Fingerboard, Rosewood Back and Sides and is even X braced.
These guitars were prone to bellying
..this one has very little if any....The bridge is also nice and tight to the body...the factory
adjustable bridge is all intact. It is in the lowest setting but can be raised.
You will not want it any lower. It plays and sounds great. Huge sound from this
Jumbo!
Jeff the Tech did a great job
setting it up with easy playing low action. Its a pleasure to play.
I coupled this Jumbo with the original Yamaha Branded
Hardshell case that fits it great. The case is in great shape. All latches, hinges and handle are present and working properly. The interior is very nice...see pics..
It is made in Japan and has the
original Nippon Gakki Orange label inside the soundhole. See pic 4... An awesome
guitar .... Some lucky Guitar Player is going to be very happy when they get this
one..
It is sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been hand picking vintage guitars for my customers for over 14 years now and they have all loved theirs..This one will not be an exception...
Thanks for checking out my cool guitars.
