PRICE REDUCED FROM $2300 to $1600.............................for now!
These are Orphaned drums referbished and finsihed in a high quality Green paint - Close to Cadillac Green of the 1950's Gretsch drums.
finish. DRUM SIZES: Bass - 14.22/Snare - 6.5.14/Tom 9.13/Floor Tom - 16.16
Some of the drums came with some original hardware. I used era-correct hardware on just about all the drums. The tom, floor tom and bass drum all have the original badges - the snare drum
has an era-correct badge. I have one of the new-issue Rail Mounts for the bass drum but I didn't put it on the drum because it was a factory virgin
bass drum and I didn't want to mess with that. I have an era-correct diamond plate cymbal mount and a Gretsch (Jimmy Pratt) mute for the bass drum that I chose not to mount as well.
I have 50's era hoops for the toms but chose to put the new 302 Brooklyn Series hoop on the toms. The snare drum has the new issued Micro Sensitive Strainer & Butt End. It also has
era-correct die-cast low profile hoops. I just bought a new Gretsch off-set Logo Fiberskyn resonant head ($70) for the bass drum.
The floor tom had a tacked resonant head and I made it into a double headed lugged drum. The operation went smoothly. All the drums have the original Date Stamps inside the shells.
The floor tom legs you see here are re-issue. I purchased them online. They're similar to the 50's (same diameter) but these have unbroken knurling.....they're actually easier to deal with
than the original legs that have 5 and in some cases 6 small knulled sections.
