I am the original owner of this great guitar. I purchased in early 2006 from Victor's House of Music (now defunct) in Parsippany, NJ.
It has ALWAYS been stored in a hard shell case (didn't even leave the store with a gig bag). Sometime in late 2006 I had the stock humbuckers replaced with a Duncan Jazz in the neck and DiMarzio DP212 EJ Custom in the bridge. Both unique pick ups that did away with much of that muddy tone the stock ones gave off.
The DiMarzio in the bridge in particular gives off a Gretsch style growl - think Neil Young circa "Everybody Knows...".
All of my guitars and gear have been loving tended to by Bill Baker and Dave Hirsch at Dave's Sound in Whippany, NJ for the better part of 15 years. Bill has done all the mods and setups over the years on this guitar himself. I don't trust anyone else.
The reason I'm selling is because I don't play it as much as I used to, and apartment living isn't a spacious as it would need to be to store these toys.
Hopefully whoever ends up with it will play it and enjoy it for years to come.
