A nice Wurlitzer 200 in black from 1973, refurbished and ready for the studio, stage, or the road. This just came in on consignment and we sweetened it up a little bit for the next owner. It already had some previous maintenance performed prior to arriving here (key bushings, jack springs, front/balance rail felt, legs + pedal), but here’s what we added: New Retrolinear EP200 amp + Vari-Vib (variable speed vibrato)New volume & vibrato potentiometersNew output board (Aux and Headphones)New Vintage Vibe speakersReed bar shield installationNew wiring and cleaned up the existing AC & transformer wiringLED mod (red) + in-line fuse holderAction centers and key pins lubricatedKeybed spot-leveledRegulation This is a nice Wurlitzer that has had extended maintenance and the highest quality electronics installed for consistent and quiet operation. The Retrolinear amp is the best available and is head and shoulders above any alternative, especially against “repopulated” or “refurbished” original amps. No matter what anyone says, the original amps will be noisy — it is inherent to the design. And they definitely don’t sound better or “more original”, they just sound worse by comparison. It exhibits wear to the lid in the way of scratches and some dings and the keys have darkened (one more so than the others, though, they look whiter in the photos than they are in real life). The original legs were the slot version and were converted to the more traditional screw-in plates. There are no cracks to the shell and the piano presents well overall.Questions welcome. Due to the nature of packing and shipping an item like this, shipping via air cargo to the nearest major airport is preferable (and very easy for the end user) — please inquire to confirm this is available in your city.
