About this listing
Description:Up for sale is a rare and discontinued Vox Cooltron Bulldog Distortion. This isn't your average distortion pedal. If you are tired of "fizzy" digital dirt and want the actual feel and response of a tube amp, the Bulldog is a masterclass in analog warmth. Because it uses a real 12AU7 tube, it cleans up beautifully with your guitar’s volume knob and provides that "thick" harmonic saturation that transistors struggle to replicate. The dual-channel layout gives you two distinct voices at your feet:Gain 1: Think classic 70s rock and "cranked Marshall/Vox" crunch. It’s punchy, mid-forward, and very dynamic.Gain 2: This is the high-gain "shred" channel. It has more compression and sustain, with an additional "Voice" control that lets you scoop or boost the mids specifically for this channel—perfect for going from classic rock to modern metal with one click.Condition & Playability:Functional: 10/10. The tube is healthy, the blue glow is working perfectly, and all pots are scratch-free.Cosmetic: Very Good Condition (8.5/10). The chrome mirror finish is notoriously hard to keep clean, but this unit is in great shape with only minor surface marks. It looks stunning. (Note: No original box or power supply, but runs on standard 9V pedal power).SpecificationsModelVox Bulldog Distortion (CT-01DS)OriginMade in Japan (Early 2000s series)Tube Type12AU7 (ECC82) Vacuum TubeChannelsDual (Gain 1: Vintage / Gain 2: Modern)ControlsGain 1, Vol 1, Gain 2, Vol 2, Bass, Treble, Gain 2 VoiceBypassTrue BypassPower9V DC (Negative Tip) or 4 x AA BatteriesConstructionHeavy-duty Mirror Chrome Enclosure
