Mellotron M4000D in factory-custom Black & Gold finish, with Mellotron Sound Card 02 and original box.This is a particularly striking M4000D that was custom ordered and supplied directly from Mellotron in this Black & Gold specification. It is not an aftermarket repaint or modification. I have the original email correspondence documenting and confirming the factory-custom finish.The M4000D provides the classic Mellotron sound library and playing experience in a modern digital instrument, with two independent sound sections that can be blended together.Also included is the Mellotron Sound Card 02, providing an additional library of Mellotron sounds.The instrument is fully working and has been used in a professional studio environment.Cosmetic conditionThere are signs of use to the cabinet, most notably two areas where pieces of the black outer finish/casing have chipped away. I still have both of the original pieces, and they are included with the instrument, so a future owner may be able to have them carefully reattached as part of a cosmetic repair.There are also some smaller surface marks/scuffs consistent with use.The cosmetic damage is shown clearly in the photographs, so please examine all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
