Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a groovy 1976 Guyatone LG-350T Custom in 100% original condition. These stylish German Carved creations are known for their unique tonality and creative design. They feature a Sen Ash body, a Maple neck, and a bound dark Rosewood fretboard with elegant star inlays. This was Guyatone's top shelf offering in the Sharp 5 lineup and have gained quite the cult following for both their unique styling and awesome tone. At the heart of this Surf-inspired beauty is the 3 single coil pickups and the switching and tone shaping options. You start with an unconventional 3 way that gives you Bridge and Neck in position 1, All 3 in position 2, and Middle only in the 3rd position. There's a 3 way toggle above the neck pickup that employs a different tone cap in each setting. The proprietary tremolo system and roller bridge are well suited for adding a little shimmer. This was Guyatone's answer to increasing quality competition from other makers offset models like Yamaha's Samurai and the Mosrite offerings of the era.
The nut measures1.55" , neck depth is .87"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a consistent medium C carve that should feel very familiar. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. 7.25" radius, 24.75" scale, 9.5 lbs. There is a solid repaired crack in the back of the neck that's been filled and leveled and can't be felt in the hand. There are a few scratches, dings, finish fills, and dents as pictured. It remains in great playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the hard case in the photos.
