About this listing
3 Leaf Audio pedals are rightly revered and the PWNZOR is another cracker. It's a lovely tone-sweetening compressor, with OvniLabs noting its ability to fatten tone and add harmonics. I'm only selling this as a result of personal changes. The pedal is not boxed but will be well-packed.I've included a link to a video so you can hear it in action.UK postage will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery....Manufacturer notes below:The PWNZOR is an optical compressor designed to have the versatility and tone of a rackmount studio compressor in a small package. The PWNZOR uses a relay bypass system that will automatically flip to bypass if a power failure is detected. The stomp switch is a soft-touch switch, so it doesn't click or require a firm stomp to actuate.Power Use only a 9V DC power supply with a 2.1 center- negative (Boss-style) plug. The PWNZOR has internal circuitry that doubles this to 18V for more headroom. Controls InputControls how sensitive the PWNZOR is to your playing dynamics. The higher you turn it, the easier it is to trigger the detector section. Set the input gain using the indicator LED. When you play, the LED will change from green to red showing the gain reduction of the compressor. Turn the input knob up until you're satisfied with the sensitivity of the detector circuit.AttackThe speed the compressor reacts to your signal. Turn clockwise for a slower attack time. Slower attack set- tings tend to make compression sound more natural and add punchiness to your tone. VintageWhen in the up position, the PWNZOR is set to feed- back (vintage) mode. The signal that feeds the compressor is taken from the output. This behavior is similar to the attack and release characteristics of classic studio compressors and is good for most styles of playing. When in the down position, the PWNZOR is operating in feedforward mode, taking its signal from the input. This is a more punchy, affected sound.GainThe output gain of the PWNZOR. Clockwise = louder. You'll want to set the gain higher when using higher ratios in order to keep the volume at unity. RatioSets the compression ratio - the amount of gain reduction that kicks in when the compressor is triggered. All the way counter-clockwise is 1:1 (no compression). As you turn the ratio knob up, the ratio increases until hit- ting about 10:1. In layman's terms, this means that for every 10 dB your signal rises above the threshold, the signal will be brought down to 1 dB above the threshold.Internal ControlsBypass - selects between true and buffered bypass.Release - turn clockwise for a slower release time. Input Gain - turn counter-clockwise to trim down the input gain if you have a high-output instrument.
