Here for sale we have a Taylor GTe Blacktop Electro Acoustic Guitar. Made in the USA in 2022, this guitar consists of a Solid Spruce top, Solid Walnut back and sides, a Tropical Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Eucalyptus fingerboard. This instrument is outfitted with a Tusq saddle, Black Tusq nut and Taylor sealed tuning machines. This guitar is equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 behind-the-saddle piezo pickup and on-board preamp, with discreet shoulder mounted controls for master volume, treble and bass.

The Tropical Mahogany neck plays very well, with Taylor's signature profile feeling nicely rounded in the hand and offering a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. It's certainly a profile that the majority of players will appreciate; substantial enough to sustain a comfortable grip for chord playing whilst being slim enough for articulate lines and fingerpicking. The Eucalyptus fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, falling somewhere between Rosewood and Ebony in both aesthetic and tonal qualities. The traditional Taylor 15" radius delivers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register, well suited to a wide range of styles and techniques. 

The voice of the Taylor GTe Blacktop is bright and detailed, and is equally at home as a solo instrument or part of an ensemble. The low end is unpronounced yet detailed, the mids are smooth and the treble frequencies are sparkly, colouring every note played on the instrument with a rich brilliance. Taylor's Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of the instrument in both live and recording situations, with the on-board controls ensuring that you remain in full control of your tone.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Two light indentations are present to the rear face of the headstock, these have very lightly pierced the finish. All other aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these are most apparent to the center of the rear face and can be seen under direct light.

Body: Overall excellent condition.  Light indentations are present to the front face, these are situated to the lower bout both treble and bass sides and do not pierce the finish. Light scratching is present to the front face, these can only be seen under direct light.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.

Hardware: Overall excellent condition. Mild fine scratching is present to the pick guard, these can be seen under direct light. All other aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2.25mm

Strings on Guitar - 11-52

There is moderate material remaining in the saddle for further adjustments.

This guitar has had a small Taylor shim added to lower the action of a previous owner, with this the label on the neck heel has lightly peeled away from when the shim was added.

Electrics: Fully functional. 9v battery not included.
