RICK TURNER 1995 Electroline 1 Lined Fretless Bass Guitar - Piezo Pickups, only 7.7 lbs!

This rare 1995 vintage Rick Turner Electroline 1 4-String lined fretless bass is Used and in Excellent Condition: just one tiny ding on the back body edge, near Mint otherwise. No cracks, major dents or other wear.

The back of the neck is smooth with no wear, the fingerboard has been cleaned and oiled, no string grooves or wear on the ebony. Professionally setup with GHS flat wound strings with low action and proper intonation (truss rod and saddle screws all turn smoothly). A non-original Overwater Basses UK Hiscox hardshell case will be included (some exterior wear from travel / normal use).

Rick Turner (1943 - 2022, R.I.P.) is known in the bass world as the man behind the "San Francisco bass sound" of the 1970's as the luthier who gave Stanley Clarke, Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead) and John McVie (Fleetwood Mac) their signature sounds while he was at Alembic. Drawing from decades of experience as a bass and pickup designer, Rick's goal with the Turner Electroline basses was a sound half way between an electric bass and an upright; this fretless instrument is a natural for bassists interested in a unique voice and tone. The Electroline 1 is also visually unique and appealing with no visible pickups.

As there are no external volume/tone controls on this bass, I typically used an external volume pedal for control (not included).
