Bold, powerful, and unmistakably rock ’n’ roll — this 2006 Gibson Explorer in Natural Mahogany embodies everything that makes the model iconic. With its aggressive body shape, thick tone, and commanding stage presence, this Explorer is a true statement guitar built for serious players.

Crafted in the USA, it features a solid mahogany body and neck, delivering the classic Gibson warmth and sustain that have defined generations of hard rock and metal. The rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and a ’50s-style rounded neck profile offers a comfortable, fast-playing feel, while the distinctive offset design gives effortless upper-fret access.

Equipped with Gibson 496R (neck) and 500T (bridge) ceramic humbuckers, this Explorer roars with high-output clarity — tight lows, searing mids, and crisp highs that cut through any mix. Hardware includes a Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and Grover tuners, ensuring stable tuning and rock-solid reliability on stage or in the studio.

This guitar is in great condition for its age, with only a couple of small knocks and light signs of use, all original parts intact aside from one pot that has been replaced. Includes the original Gibson hardshell case. Please see pictures as they form part of the description. It currently has a replacement black scratch plate installed and the original white one is included with the guitar.
