Wild Blue was developed as a prototype early in the collaboration between PRS and John Mayer and has been waiting for its moment of glory since the launch of the PRS Silver Sky in 2018. The Silver Sky Wild Blue Limited Edition is now the first Silver Sky to feature a matching lacquered headstock.

The classic specifications of the Silver Sky have been retained, including an alder body and a maple neck with a 25.5-inch scale. However, the Wild Blue Limited Edition comes only with a 7.25-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard with small bird inlays. Other features include a steel tremolo, a bone nut, vintage-style locking tuners, and Mayer's signature 635JM pickups.

PRS will produce a maximum of 1,000 Wild Blue Silver Sky guitars in 2026.

As a watch collector, turquoise has always been a color that has excited me, so a limited edition Silver Sky in turquoise is the perfect combination. I hope it brings a smile to both guitarists and watch enthusiasts.
