1960s Hopf Model 320S Spezial Deluxe natural

Good condition, 6/10, Made in Germany, no case, this was the second highest priced guitar in the catalogue after the 320L Super Deluxe, the prices were 270 D-Mark for the 320S and 300 D-Mark for the 320L, natural finish, flamed maple body, cat´s eyes soundholes, aftermarket Kent WC-40 pickup (made in Japan) with volume and tone in the white pickguard, non adjustable rosewood bridge, the outer binding has been replaced all around, one black diamond shaped inlay in the fingerboard has fallen out, on the tailpiece it says Original Hopf, more info: Gustav Glassl was one of the best European luthiers of the 20th century. This 320 SL (super de luxe) was his own flagship design and the absolute top of the line model, sold through Hopf. These lightweight archtops are rare as hen's teeth and beautiful in natural blonde version.

Binding 
it was separating when we got the guitar but it has now been glued and holds together well all around

Fingerboard 
Has some wear on the 1st fret at the 1st-3rd string 
Otherwise, small marks here and there on the fingerboard, but not deep.

Frets 
OK, but some frets are a bit flat. No pits though.

Electronics 
Works well. Standard 1/4" jack applies.

Truss rod 
The guitar does not have a truss rod, and the neck is ok. There is room in the bridge to lower it a little more.
