In 1961, when the Les Paul changed shape to become the SG, the Special followed suit. It wasn’t until 1963 that it officially took on the name “SG.” Compared to a Junior, the Special features neck binding, a stylish logo, and most importantly—a second P-90 pickup! This Epiphone comes from a limited edition released in 2011 to celebrate the model’s 50th anniversary. Mahogany body and slim taper neck, rosewood fretboard—classic tonewoods and construction. In very good condition.
