Countryman Octave Mandolin.
Very good condition.
I measured the scale length to 519mm (20.47") which is about mid-range for octave mandolins and a bit more forgiving on smaller hands than many I have tried.
Fitted neck truss-rod for action adjustment if needed.
The neck is smooth and scratch/ding free, semi-round and comfortable- not chunky.
Tuners are smooth and don't slip.
No cracks or separation of glued joints.
It shows signs of- use mostly on back of body- please see images.
The deep body gives a warm and mellow tone but also can deliver plenty of punch when required- great for cutting through in sessions- the bass end isn't lost to the treble or mids with this instrument.
The Yamaha DT20 pickup (uses standard guitar-lead jack) on the top face works surprisingly well, delivers a good sound to the amp and never gave me issues at gigs.
Comes with a really good quality soft case with very comfortable handle, backpack straps and two front pockets.
I have owned this instrument for many years and it has served me very well on stage, at sessions and at home.
All in all a nice instrument to play with a great sound.
