Cimar 2090 BS Electric Guitar 1980s - Satin

Project guitar for repair - think of it as a body blank which requires sanding and refinishing.

This was a Cimar 2090 BS Electric Guitar.Cimar was founded in 1973 by Hoshino Gakki. This company located in Nagoya-Japan produced electric guitars, electric bass guitars, acoustic guitars and mandolins. Some models appeared in Ibanez catalogs under the name "Cimar by Ibanez." Designs of Cimar guitars are sometimes very similar to Hoshino Gakki's Ibanez guitar brand. The company ceased to exist in 1982.

Condition notes:

• Significant marks on back and front
• wood filled strap button holes (requires filling with dowels instead)
• New truss rod needs to be installed. The one in there now is too long and gets in the way of the truss rod cover. It may require using a shorter rod and a wood fillet to make up any extra length at the end of the board.
• truss rod cavity needs cleaning up - possibly filling with another small wood fillet and reworking from the beginning
• Frets need levelling, and/or replacing (they would still be useable but are near the end of their working life)
• Neck heel has a fillet of wood to adjust the angle of the neck as it bolts on to the body (I never had problems with neck angle when the guitar was functional, but perhaps you will need to redo this fillet to a different size after sanding everything down).
• No electronics are included with this guitar
