Phil Davidson, has been hand-building fine string instruments for more than thirty years. This Mandola is hand-made by him using pearwood for the top and back, and flame maple for the neck and sides in his workshop in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England. This is a beautiful instrument, tuned C,G,D,A (low to high) in the same register as a Viola. Please note that the facia on the headstock was applied at the request of the previous owner by Brook Guitars, Devon, along with the White Horse motif.
