2000 Fender Yamano American Vintage ’62 Jazzmaster Reissue Ice Blue Metallic 1 of 50 w/HSC & Paperwork, AVRI
SN: V125869
Available now—a completely original and 1 of only 50 ever made: a 2000 Fender Yamano-Ordered American Vintage ’62 Jazzmaster Reissue in a Ice Blue Metallic finish.
This rare example features a rich, dark, silky rosewood fretboard and comes complete with its original G&G brown hard case, tremolo arm, bridge cover, case candy, and paperwork.
Back in 2000, Yamano Japan—the renowned distributor for both Gibson and Fender—custom-ordered just 50 of these AVRI ’62 Jazzmaster Reissues in the stunning Ice Blue Metallic finish.
Legend has it that Fender’s Custom Shop played a role in their production, and it certainly shows. These guitars are unlike any other American Vintage offsets we've encountered, particularly in terms of wood selection, fit and finish, and overall craftsmanship. The rosewood and maple used for the necks are truly second to none, offering an exceptional feel and look.
Adding to their vintage appeal, the light lacquer finish allows for natural aging and tasteful fading over time—just like the originals from the golden era. This gives these Yamano-commissioned Jazzmasters an authentic vintage feel and aesthetic that truly sets them apart.
To find another Fender-made Jazzmaster of this caliber, you’d have to invest in a Custom Shop model or seek out a true golden-era vintage equivalent!
Condition-wise, our Jazzmaster is in excellent shape, showing light play-wear and remaining free from any breaks or repairs.
Cosmetically, this example has a few marks, the most noteworthy being a lacquer burn at the bottom of the front and rear of the body. This is a common reaction between nitrocellulose lacquer and a guitar strap, typical of these finishes. It is non-wood-bearing, smooth to the touch, and purely superficial.
Beyond this, there are just a few faint surface marks and a tasteful aging of the finish, now edging into a greenish hue, all of which have been pictured. Overall, the guitar is in great shape and has developed an incredibly pleasing vintage aesthetic.
The super slick and perfectly finished neck—paired with a rich, dark rosewood fretboard—shows little to no play-wear and is genuinely one of the finest Fender necks we've ever encountered in terms of feel.
The all-stock electronics and hardware function flawlessly, and both US-made Fender "Black Bobbin" pickups deliver authentic Jazzmaster tones that are instantly recognisable—chiming, dynamic, and full of character.
This one weighs in at 7.93lbs.
It’s been expertly cleaned and setup by Ben of Beej Guitar Repairs with a fresh set of 10-46 strings
