A five string English banjo with parallel neckand tunnelled 5th which allows it to be used as a plectrum banjo if desired.
“Paramount Supremus” is marked on the peg-head. All original included shaped case.
For its age this banjo is in excellent condition. It can be strungwith steel or nylon strings. It has the original resonator and Pyxe tailpiece. It has an 11 inch archtop rim with 28 tension hooks all in very good condition plus original key to tighten the head.
This pre-war banjo has been extremely well made and is a quality instrument.
It can be played in different styles, Bluegrass, Classical,Frailing, Jazz, Folk etc.
