This banjo is in excellent playing condition, There is some wear to the resonator which is not unusual fora banjo of its age.
The serial number engraved on the perch-pole and on theinside of the hoop is 96178 which indicates manufacture in 1928.
The tail pieceis engraved “Vega Professional”. It has a flat-head tone ring with a Remo head.It has a bright tone with a good action. It comes with a hard case in goodcondition (not original). This is a quality instrument made in Boston,Massachusetts, USA.
