A really cool 1956 Old Kraftsman by Kay Sizzler Model 4140 Guitar with original soft shell case…This is a set neck guitar that plays and sounds wonderful...Really cool guitar!

These guitars were only made from1956 thru 1960…The Tan and white ones were only made from1956 thru 1958…No dates on this one, I am calling it a 1956..

Awesome dark sounding Kay Pancake Case Pickups that are screaming for Blues to be played thru them. Very powerful for its time. Some of these pickups can get thin. These are certainly not those. I was shocked when I plugged it in.. The middle position sounds almost out of phase. Very cool effect for such an early guitar.

When we got this guitar the pickguard was beyond salvaging. Our Techs made a brand new one from the outline of the original. It looks great. We replaced the input jack and one knob was missing. We added one that was close. Other than that, its all original. Check out the original Single Line Tuners. Great shape.

This cool Kay made Old Kraftsman has a 25 1/2 inch scale neck. The nut measures 1 11/16 wide. The neck is really fat. I would call it a full C profile. Not a D but fuller than an medium. Feels bid in the hands. Cool neck! It also has a neck adjustment accessed thru the back of the neck heel. See pic 11. They don't work great but its there. LOL...
